Defiance

So that didn't feel very dramatic for a seaosn finale. Stuff happened, major characters died (and one was resurrected) but it somehow felt dull and lifeless. Little Wolf turned into BAD WOLF and brought Capotain Jack/Bland Guy back. If Kenya's really dead then her story arc was pretty weird. Jaimie Murray's character wasn't really in control after all and really is just scared of her husband? No crappy cover version at the end?! Unsatisfying finale that I'll have long forgotten by the time season two starts.
 
I think the biggest problem with Defiance is that the show is written so that it will be a great (well I don't know about great, haven't played it) video game instead of a great tv show. IMO.

I doubt Kenya is dead. I think Stahma loves her. I knew Nolan wouldn't stay dead.
 
Well the plot of the Defiance game (which is, by all report, not very good) is set in a totally different place (San Francisco) than the show, so it shouldn't have any baring on how good the scripts are!

But yeah. I mean it started off okay, then they just started killing people off because that's what you do in a season finale now I guess.
 
The season premiere is tonight at 8pm. I HATE IT WHEN SHOWS START THAT EARLY :rwmad: A new show called Dominion comes on after, so maybe they're hoping the Defiance fans will stay to watch it. It's post apocalyptic angels vs humans... Are they ripping off Supernatural? Fuck.
 
The premiere was pretty good! Datak got a handjob in prison, and then tried to make the alien that looks like Odo give him a handjob while she was sleeping, but she woke up and made a smart remark about checking his balls for lumps, lol.
 
OH I keep forgetting to post in this thread probably because the show is still PRETTY FORGETTABLE. I mean it wasn't a bad episode and yeah good handjob scenes, but lead guy is still bland and I wish Little Wolf really had slit his throat?
 
Fuck, I missed the second episode and for some fucking reason SyFy channel is rerunning the shit out of that horrible Dominion, but not Defiance. I'll have to keep checking, hopefully I'll be able to catch up SOMEHOW.
 
I don't really know what's going on with Irisa. Okay, ancient astronauts, fine (I guess) but she keeps killing people and they're not really dead and there was someone vomitting a snake thing? The Jaime Murray scenes are good. They used Portishead in the musical bit so that's good I guess.
 
This episode was rather confusing! Did I miss something? Why are they uploading Amanda's memories?
 
Umm, I was thinking maybe the mayor is the guy who raped Amanda and he wants to make sure she doesn't remember. But why wouldn't he just kill her if that was the case? It seems there's some big secret with her, the mayor and hat guy who died last season.

I liked the part where Rafe was in the bath.

Yeah, at first I didn't think the mayor had anything to do with it, but now he's acting really weird... which will OF COURSE lead to everyone finding out he's a rapist.

Rafe's bath was great. Stahma is awesome.
