Doctor Who Series 7: There Will Be Daleks

Damnit, always five minutes ahead of me.

Personally I would rather Moffat be the one to go, but you can't have everything.

Hope we get someone in their late 30's or 40's this time, they can't keep going younger or sooner or later we will end up with teen Doctor.

Aww. I know the episodes have been really hit and miss lately, but he's my fave Doctor since the show returned. Oh well, at least we've still got more to look forward to.
 
When I was a kid, it felt like there could be no other Doctor than Tom Baker. Well, here we are 7 actors later....
 
If its any consolation, I doubt anyone will ever beat his 7 year record.

Unless they take the splitting a season thing to extremes, and film an entire season then show one episode a year for 13 years.
 
Matt Smith will probably end up being my favorite Doctor because he was the Doctor when I first started GETTING the show. You guys have been watching all your life and know all the inside jokes, and references and STUFF, but it took me a long time to figure it all out. I'm sure I will love the next Doctor anyway!
 
I hope we do get a black guy this time, it would crack me up if he looked at his hands and said "well, I guess I'm still not ginger!"

I started watching Doctor Who with Paul McCann the 8th Doctor in the TV movie, but my favorite Doctor is number 9. He was just so cool and badass like I wish I was sometimes.
 
Until Christopher Ecclestone/the 9th Doctor I'd only saw bits and pieces during my childhood, so I'm FAR from getting all the jokes and references. And on top of that, I often miss references to stuff I have seen but have forgotten.
 
It FEELS like Smith hasn't been the Doctor for very long (I know he's actually been for as long as Tennant) and I wish he wanted to do many more years. Plus the Christmas episodes are always kind of "off" so I don't know how fitting that'll be as his final episode.
 
He says he is in the christmas episode, he didn't say for how long, since he has already shaved his hair off after he finished the 50th anniversary special I recon he will start to regenerate at the end of that, and that will be the cliffhanger that leads into the xmas special.
 
That might make more sense than having the regeneration at Christmas and give the new guy an episode to get into the role before a full season. But I was looking forward to two more hours of Matt Smith. :(
 
I was looking forward to another series of Matt Smith after the "Matt Smith CONFIRMS he's singed for season 8!" thread on TrekBBS (TrekBBS is never wrong.)
 
So, when do we get to see John Hurt do his "fallen from grace" Doctor?

BTW, they'll never pick a ginger. Unless it's a ginger girl.
