Gardening edition of the diary thread

April 10:

Watered the garden BY HAND, MOFOS. I will have some delicious veggies, I WILL.

(Dr Dave, the onions haven't been in the ground long enough to start growing yet, I'm sure they're doing just fine)

April 12:

Dr Dave's onions are showing signs of LIFE.

How much defence do your plants offer against zombies?

Keep me updated about those onions!

April 12

Planted a few sunflower seeds, to defend against the zombies!

Well they just give you sun so you can buy the defensive plants, but good start...

Plant an apple tree!

AND A POTATO TREE.

PLANT A CUMQUAT!

SPREAD SOME MIRACLE-GRO ON ROBERT PLANT!

April 14:

WE HAVE BEAN SIGN. Wow, those green beans sure grow fast.

we actually had a snow storm on Sunday. NO ONE WAS IMPRESSED. My cousin and I shared the blame as we both took the snow tires off in the delusional thought that APRIL WAS A MONTH IN THE SPRING. HA!
and you wonder why Canadians snap and become such awful psycho killers....

April 22:

Planted a 1/2lb of black eyed peas, and 1/2lb of zippers (that's how much teh bags of seed weighed at the feed store, ok? :rwmad: ) ALSO I transplanted an eggplant that survived the winter, AND the onions are growing like crazy, PLUS I bought two crookneck squash plants. I'd like a couple more squash and maybe one more eggplant.

The black eyed peas might ruin your garden like they did the SuperBowel half time show.

Be warned!

April 25:

OH HAI LIL LIL PEAS. Peas are sprouting!

What about ONIONS!?

THE ONIONS ARE FINE, DR DAVE :rwmad:

Good to hear.

the early tulips are starting to poke up through the thawing tundra! Excitement.
May 24 is traditionally the time put seeds down.
Can you say "short growing season"?
