Suspended Randy Gregory given extension by Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are not sure when Gregory will be able to play again. In February, the NFL suspended Gregory indefinitely for violating the substance abuse policy.
 
DeMarcus Lawrence will be ready for opener

The Cowboys have waived guard Parker Ehinger, who was acquired in a trade from the Kansas City Chiefs last summer only to require knee surgery that landed him on injured reserve before the season started.

The team also waived defensive tackle Aziz Shittu.

In the past three seasons, no running back has as many carries (868) or yards (4,048) as Elliott, and he missed six games because of a suspension in 2017 and was held out of the season finales in both 2016 and 2018.
