MF is locked

The real answer is to recruit more trolls and to stop punishing us for internal trolling. It's great if you guys want to have your happy little harmonious community, but if you're on Troll Kingdom, grow a thicker skin.
 
Autoadmin cravenly squashed me within about a minute. Probably because I had the word "Dual" in my username.
 
Drawing more people here obviously would help keep the MF from towering over the rest of the board in content. The problem is that most of the board outside of the MF looks dead. I've asked people to join here. Some have, but most lurk, and see it as a dying board and waste of their time. Some members that left TK did for that same reason.
 
Get rid of Tkarma - it will force lurkers like me to post more. And add more Star Trek. And Planet of the Apes.

See, you're wrong, and that's what irritates me. Menty asked me if I still wanted to be an admin. I said yes. He asked me to take over Ouch!. I said OK. From what I understand he didn't hire me for the sole purpose of writing Ouch!. Yet, I'm still spending my free time getting ready to publish it.

You're correct about the "MF only" posters. There are only a handful. But, that's if you don't count the people who post only once in a while in QSF or GFHH. So, what should we count? The "MF only" and the "MF+1 forum" perhaps? That should take our tally to the double digits, easily.

Here's a good question: Cassie, when was the last time you contributed to a forum, like, The Media Center? That's right, January. Yet, how many times have you replied to a thread that could have been posted there?

Now, what was it someone said earlier? They'd post in the on topic forums more if they thought they'd get more responses? Now, if all of those responses are down here, how is he expected to find responses to his threads.

(here's where I start to sound like a broken record) I care because it concerns the longevity and the population of the board. I want both of those numbers to increase. Why do you take exception to my compassion for this place? Why don't you care if more people post here?

Oh, this place is how I cure my boredom. I do have a life outside of TK.

Lastly, I want to say something to all of you.

POSTING LIKE A MINE FIELDER IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO THIS FORUM. YOU CAN DO THAT ALL OVER THE PLACE. I CERTAINLY WON'T STOP YOU.

Jaysus Tap Dancing Crisco...anyone who has survived this place since the beginning (which can be said of more than one MFer) should be able to post wherever they goddam feel like posting, without being nagged.

TK, LoNAF, Wordforge, even poor little rEFCL have long outlasted their expected shelf lives as Trek spinoff boards. None of them exist now with the same purpose that they did at the outset. From this point, whatever happens, happens. This is supposed to be a fun diversion. I've spent 10 years donating my time, energy and stress to them. I still enjoy helping to maintain them and contribute. But I've officially stopped spending time "worrying" about message boards.

Now kindly take a pill. And stay offa my lawn!
 
On that note, I bet Lonaf would suddenly enjoy a large boost in posting if it only had four forums: QSF, Staff forum, General Discussion and NHB :hmm:
