The Walking Dead season 2

SO THIS WEEK'S EPISODE...

LOOK, I know it's really tempting to reply "YOU JUST WANT ACTION ALL THE TIME LIKE MICHAEL BAY IT'S NOT THAT TYPE OF SHOW!!!!"" whenever anyone complains about the pace being too slow. But the pace is way too slow. There's only three episodes left before we get a three month break and really not much has happened yet. I like good character drama as much as the next man (unless the next man's Michael Bay) but the problem is that the show's pretty hit and miss as far as good character drama goes.

Like the dramatic cliffhanger being Lori's pregnancy. I actually honestly thought we'd already found out she was pregnant last season. I'm probably getting confused with the comic, but even on the show it was pretty obvious right?

Fucking Sophia STILL missing. It's beyond a joke really. Darryl finds a spooky house and...picks a flower. Okay...

The whole thing with the zombie down the well was a waste of time. I mean the idea of a bloated zombie was good, but why were they trying to get it out? Were they acutally going to drink water that a zombie had been swimming around in? The splitting in two was a good punchline though.

Also it's getting a bit stupid how character just go out wandering by themselves and don't encounter zombies or seem to be in danger in anyway. The tension levels have gone way down.

I did enjoy the scene where the attractive female character took her bra off.

I enjoyed it and found it fast paced, but then I'm comparing it to last week's which really was drearily slow and didn't have much action except for the bits with Shane (who I don't like) and Otis (who I didn't care about).

I think it's nice that they're able to have a break and maybe defend a place, but then they were only very recently given a respite at the CDC, and for some reason the farm doesn't require any of the defense or fortification that hits my caveman kill/defend/destroy buttons. Then again, if and when they do go on the road again, I'm not too clear where they're actually hoping to end up.

Nice to see Glenn actually get something to do, even if part of it was him being put upon yet again and not even complaining. Least he got to have some sexors.

Today's episode kind of felt like a bad episode of Lost:

Lost of people wondering around the trees looking for a kid, character tensions coming from people not talking to each other for no real reason, and the plot being driven by people making stupid decisions for seemingly no reason other than to drive the plot.

SOPHIAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The flashback at the start seemed kind of pointless. And then other stuff happened. Most of the episode seemed to be Darryl climbing up a hill. Then Andrea did something stupid.

I did like "he's wearing EARS" "let's not mention that"

Ending was good!

Yeah, Andrea needs to get over he need to prove herself because next time she won't get lucky and will kill someone. DON'T YOU HURT MY DARRYL, BITCH

Is Shane now officially a creepy stalker dude?

I was happy to have so much Darryl even if it was all a bit drawn out and didn't seem to lead anywhere. I mean, there was a chance he could've got angry with all the others for thinking he was a dumb redneck, but then he was reassured by Baldy at the end anyway. I guess that's another sign that they might end up together.

Good ending, but what does it all mean???! (no spoilers, please) I can't think of any use for zombies unless Hershel doesn't like killing them for religious reasons, so locks them up instead. It's not like you can eat them.

Hershel did say that he believed a cure would be found so maybe he thinks if he keeps his old bowling buddies in the barn then they can be made right as rain later on. Or maybe that's where he tosses people who don't kiss his ass every five minutes. Or maybe they use them for zombie three legged races, that could be fun.

My bet is on option 1.

For better or worse, I like how they're sticking to the story line.

Dint you love the hanging zombie segue?

Just wait till the governor shows up. Y;ain't seen nothing yet.

Is Carole even supposed to be that old? All the women look a bit rough in the zombie apoclaypse (except Maggie.)

Hard to tell with her hair so short and grey, makes her look older and less feminine anyway. I guess Ed made her have it like that but she'll start growing it out eventually.

She looks too old to have a daughter that age.

Still there is a woman at work who went to the same school as me, was two years younger, but looks ten years older.

Some people just have hard lives, and I guess that character has.

Good episode by the way, good job he managed to save that one arrow he has left.

Dont know why he didnt go back to pinayta boy, cut him down, and get his other arrow back.

Oh, and the opening shot of the helicopters napalming atlanta looked expensive, and good.

Didnt make a whole lot of sence since nothing looked burned in season one, but there you go.

SO this week the plot moved forward a bit, so that was good. There weren't any "filler" scenes and no one did anything too stupid. I mean, I guess Lori did, but I'm not going to try to judge a crazy pregnant woman. At least she told the truth and at least Rick already knew since it was obvious. Shane and Andrea kind of made sense. When she came back, Dale should have said "I can smell Shane's dick on your breath." Scene with Dale and Shane was good. Maggie is right about them using Glen as "walker bait" and that scene reminded me of a recent issue of the comic. Glad they're developing Carl a bit but I don't know if the actor is up to it.

So I guess that zombie was just hanging out in the pharmacy watching the last time Glen and Maggie were there having sex? Still don't like the zombies just popping up out of nowhere without maknig a sound.
