It was weird switching back and forth from the funeral to the vamp camp, wasn't it? I don't know what they were going for but I don't think whatever it was happened. There were parts of the episode that I really liked, but the flashbacks were kinda dumb.
The funeral just went on and on and on. I liked when the old woman said "I don't see what the point of that was!" Maybe they were trying to show that vampires are violent and evil whereas humans really care for each other. But then we're supposed to like the vampires, aren't we? I don't know. I liked that Jason didn't kill Sarah.
They should have had Lizzy Caplan in the flashbacks somehow.
The Iraqi ghost should have shown up at the funeral and said "HE KILLED CHILDREN."
Are the vampires going to be able to daywalk all the time now OR WHAT?
Maybe next week Warlow will remember he was supposed to be evil and do something interesting and Sookie will notice Rutger Hauer disappeared.
We were watching it and literally groaning and moaning everytime they went back to the funeral. It was great to see Terry, but come on...And what the hell was wrong with Tara's mom? Who's that chippy and happy at a funeral? Unless you're happy the dude died.
And pissed off Jason didn't kill Sarah (sorry Wacky) but was I not supposed to be laughing hysterically while she was climbing up the tower to open the roof and doing some Jesus spiel?
They give us Eric peen just before frying him. I can't believe they're going to do the final season without him. And there's no way he survived or was saved from flaming out -- they lingered on it for so long. Pam will probably show up to find the usual red puddle. If she somehow saves him, then it was a really cheap, poorly executed cliffhanger.
So it looks like they're going to force a "happy ending" between Bill & Sookie at the end of the show next year -- if next season is pure soap opera with Bill trying to win her back, it will be baaaaaaaaad. None of the fans want them back together, they have no chemistry. (Which is ironic since the actors have kids together)
I don't have much to say about the HepV vamp showdown cliffhanger -- kinda dumb. Can't think of anyone else they would kill off, they're running out of supporting cast. Oh, and Mayor Sam? Pfft. Did any of this happen in the books?
So Warlow was evil all along. Or he just decided to turn evil. It was literally just like a heel face heel turn in wrestling. Except wrestling has better writing.
The "you've been gone four hours!" line was funny.
The SIX MONTHS LATER was lame. Sam's the mayor because...? Sookie and Alcide are together because that hasn't happened before. Tara's mom is obviously a carrier (how do humans carry a vampire virus?) and she's infecting Tara on purpose lol.
So the Lilith blood is gone from Bill and he's not evil anymore, but shouldn't even who drank from him be evil now?
They stole the zombie vampires from the Buffy comic. And that comic sucks.
Rutger Hauer just randomly returns at the right time and suddenly Warlow forgets he can use his fairy light to fight him off. Why didn't Warlow just kill him instead of leaving him alive in another dimension?
If Pam shows up and burries Eric in the snow it's stupid but I don't think he's dead. Why have him die in a way that no one else would know about?
Not enough Willa.
Six months later Bill's 350 pages book has been a best seller for seven weeks...he sure wrote and got that published fast.
But unless they do another cheap time jump, he'll spend several episodes being all gross and recovering from near-crispy death, like they did with Russell. I think they realize how much people love Skarsgard, but at the same time they're running out of ideas in terms of keeping Eric involved in the story.
Oh, and it appears I was wrong -- they never announced that next year will be the final season, so it's probably going to continue past season 7. Maybe I confused it with Mad Men, which is definitely ending next year...
